Fukukaichou Gambaru (副会長ガンバル。 lit. The Hardworking Vice-President) is a school comedy spinoff manga adapted from Prison School, with artwork by ReDrop and editorial work from the original creator Akira Hiramoto. The manga began serialization in Kodansha's monthly magazine Young Magazine the 3rd in Issue No. 9 on August 6th, 2016.[1] The series is a silent manga, with minimal character dialogue and increased emphasis on visual gags.[2]

Plot[]

The Fukukaichou Gambaru manga's main protagonist is the Underground Student Council's Vice-President Meiko Shiraki, the warden of the Prison Block who rules the compound with overwhelming power and beauty. However, this hardworking schoolgirl hides a kind and diligent character under her violently attractive exterior. The storyline of the manga follows the daily extertions of Meiko's school life from the main continuity of the Prison School series, focusing on Meiko's senior high-school year at Hachimitsu Academy.

The Fukukaichou Gambaru series has a monthly serialisation and will potentially be published by Kodansha in six-month intervals, with the first tankobon volume's potential release around April 6th, 2017.
